This Privacy Notice (hereinafter the “Notice”) describes how RGNT Electric AB (reg. no. 559221-5759) (hereinafter “RGNT”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes your personal data when you purchase or use one of our vehicles, use our app, visit our website or otherwise interact with us.
In this Notice you will learn about the personal data we collect, how we use it, your rights, and the measures we take to keep it safe. We will always make sure that your personal data are processed and protected in accordance with applicable legislation. If you have any questions, or want any part of this Notice explained, feel free to contact us through one of the communication channels listed below.
How we use your personal data
If you register for a test drive
When you register for a test drive on our website, we collect personal data that is necessary to administer and perform your test drive. The personal data collected during the test drive may later be used to send you marketing related material. You may always opt-out from receiving such communication.
Our processing is necessary to take steps prior to enter into or fulfill a contract with you. If you do not provide the information, you will not be able to book a test drive.
Processing for marketing purposes is based on our legitimate interest to follow up on the test drive and to market our products. Please contact us if you want to learn more about how we have balanced our interests against yours.
We keep your personal data for one (1) year after you have completed the test drive.
If you purchase one of our vehicles
Administer and deliver your order
When you place an order for one of our vehicles, we collect personal data about you to administer, confirm, prepare and deliver your order. If you do not provide us with the data, we will not be able to complete or deliver your order.
Processing of your data is necessary to fulfil our agreement with you. We keep your data as long as we have an active relationship and for one (1) year thereafter.
Administer payments
To collect payment, we process your personal data. In addition, if you chose to pay your order using a credit card, your payment data will be forwarded to our payment service supplier, Stripe. Stripe uses a cookie to remember who you are and enables the website to process payments without storing any credit card information on its own servers. It also remembers you so you don’t have to fill in all details every time you make a purchase on our site – provided that you have chosen to save your payment data.
The processing of your personal data is necessary to fulfil our agreement (and complete your order). However, please note that your credit card data is not accessible for either us or Stripe.
The cookie stores your data for (1) year or for a shorter period if you change your cookie settings, whichever comes first.
Manage charge backs and reclamations
If you want to complain and return the vehicle to us or have a charge-back, we will process personal data about you, your order and the vehicle. We do this to fulfil our agreement with you (and correct any errors or mistakes).
We keep data about a reclaim for three (3) years or until the matter is resolved.
Accounting
We save necessary information about you and your order for bookkeeping purposes. The legal basis for the processing is that the processing is necessary to comply with the Swedish Accounting Act.
We keep your data for seven (7) years after the end of the calendar year when the purchase was made.
When you use one of our vehicles
Provide connected features
To enhance your driving and maintenance experience, as well as to improve and simplify your general use of your vehicle, your vehicle is equipped with its own Wi-Fi and a display. Through the display, you can monitor the vehicle’s different functions and status in real time. In order for you to be able to utilize all the functions and services that we enable for our customers, as well as for our legitimate business purposes, we need to access and process the personal data stored in your vehicle. We will process your data for the following purposes.

Vehicle data analysis
To ensure that our vehicles and ancillary products and services continue to be top of the line and meets your needs and expectations, we use data about your vehicle and how you interact with it and its different functions (including VIN number) for research and development purposes, including to enhance and monitor the vehicles’ quality and its safety features and to manage our warranty undertakings.
We may also collect security data like unauthorised access, authenticity of software updates and anomalies in the vehicle network (intrusion detection), as well as vehicle parameters related to emission. The latter will be shared with the relevant authorities.
The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest to provide you with these ancillary services (GDPR, art 6.1(f)). Please contact us if you want to learn more about how we have balanced your interests against ours.
We will keep the data for five (5) years.

Marketing purposes
We will use the data collected from your vehicle to send you tailored marketing communications. Which marketing communication you receive will depend on how you use your vehicle (e.g., how often you charge it, how long routes you take, your average speed, etc.).
The legal basis for the processing for marketing purposes is your consent (GDPR, art. 6.1(a)).
We will use data about your vehicle for marketing purposes (including your contact information) as long as you are the owner of the vehicle or until you withdraw your consent.
If you use our app
Manage our relationship with you
To enhance your experience, as well as to improve and simplify your usage of our vehicles, we have created our app. In order for you to be able to utilize all the functions and services that we provide through our app in connection to your vehicle, as well as for our internal interests, we will need to use your personal data for the following purposes.

Provide the app’s services
The app provides several functions you may utilize in connection to your vehicle, provided that you connect it to the app and accept that the vehicle sends its technical data to the app, if applicable. These functions will enhance and simplify both your driving experience as well as the maintenance of your vehicle.

Through the map you also have the possibility to search for routes, see the present range of your vehicle and save your most used locations (such as your home or work coordinates). Improve our app and ancillary services
We are always striving to improve our products and services in order to give you the best possible experience. If we understand how and when the app is used, we will better understand user behavior and be able to improve and customize the usability and reliability of the app and ancillary services. Ultimately, this will enhance your user experience of our products. In this context we will process your personal data for research and development purposes in order to correct errors, to improve our products and services and investigate which new products and services to develop. This also includes the assessment of any necessary ad-on services from third parties. For this purpose, to the extent possible, we will use anonymized or pseudonymized data.

We keep your personal data for one (1) year from collection.
When you interact with our customer support
If you have any questions or problems, you can contact our customer support by e-mail or the chat function on our website. Customer support will help you with any questions or problems you may have. To be able to help with your question or problem we may need to process your personal data. Such data may be collected from you directly or from your vehicle (e.g. technical data, vehicle status, etc.).
Personal data are processed either because it is necessary to fulfil our agreement with you (GDPR, art. 6.1(b)) or based on our legitimate interest to provide the requested support (GDPR, art. 6.1(f)). If you want to learn more about how we have balanced our interest against yours, please contact us. Note that we will only access personal data from your vehicle if you have given us your consent to do so.
We will delete or anonymise the data as soon as the support ticket is resolved.
Marketing and other communication
Marketing messages
If you have signed up to receive e-mails from us, we may also send you marketing related communication. You can unsubscribe to all our e-mails at any point, by clicking on the unsubscribe link included in the e-mails.

We keep your data for marketing and communication purposes until you opt-out from receiving such communication.
Newsletter
If you have signed up to receive our newsletter, we will process your contact information to ensure that you receive the requested newsletter.
The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest to keep you up to date in accordance with your request (GDPR, art. 6.1(f)). We keep your data until you opt-out from receiving such communication.
Competitions and campaigns
Sometimes we have campaigns or competitions at events, fairs etc. In these situations, we may collect your personal data to arrange and administer the campaign or the competition.

We keep your data until the campaign or competition is completed and for up to one (1) year thereafter.
Social media targeting
We use Facebook pixels for targeted campaigns as well as measure and analyse campaign results.

The pixel stores your data for 180 days or for a shorter period if you change your cookie settings, whichever comes first.
Use of statistics and anonymous data for business development
In addition to what is set out above, we may preserve or disclose your personal data in order to comply with a law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, to assert legal rights or defend against legal claims or to prevent, detect, or investigate illegal activity, fraud, abuse, violations of our terms, or threats to the security of RGNT and/or our vehicles or the physical safety of any person. We will process such necessary personal data as long as we have to establish, exercise or defend the claim in question.

How we store and share your personal data and who we share it with
We will store all the data collected on our secure servers located within the EEA, hosted by our cloud service.
Our cloud service is contractually bound to not use your personal data for any purpose other than to provide services for us in compliance with each data processing agreement in place.
In addition, your data may be shared with our suppliers, such as Intercom (Chat bot), Stripe (credit card payments), newsletter/marketing providers, Google, Facebook and other third parties that help us provide whole or parts of our services.
To the extent your personal data are transferred outside the EEA, we will make sure that we have entered into the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the recipient, or that another transfer mechanism is in place.
Your rights
Right to information and access
You have the right to know if we process personal data about you. If we do, you also have the right to receive information about the personal data we process and why we do it. You also have the right to receive a copy of all personal data we have about you.
If you are interested in specific information, please indicate it in your request. For example, you can specify if you are interested in a certain type of information (e.g., what contact and identification information we have about you) or if you want information from a certain time period.
Right to have erroneous data corrected
If the data we hold about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected. You also have the right to supplement incomplete information with additional information that may be needed for the information to be correct.
Once we have corrected your data, or it has been supplemented, we will inform those we have shared your data with about the update, provided that it is not impossible or too cumbersome. If you ask us, we will also tell you who we have shared your data with.
If you request to have data corrected, you also have the right to request that we limit our processing during the time we investigate the matter.
Right to have data deleted
In some cases, you have the right to have your data deleted. You have the right to have your data deleted if:
- The data is no longer needed for the purposes for which we collected it,
- You withdraw your consent, if applicable,
- The data is used for direct marketing and you unsubscribe from it,
- You oppose use that is based on our legitimate interest and we cannot show compelling grounds that outweigh your interests,
- The personal data has been used illegally, or
- Deletion is required to fulfill a legal obligation.
If you wish for us to delete your personal data, please note that while most of your information will be deleted within a few days, it may take up to thirty (30) days to delete all of your personal data. We may preserve data for legal reasons or to prevent harm.
If we delete data following your request, we will also inform those we have shared your data with, provided that it is not impossible or too cumbersome. If you ask us, we will also tell you who we have shared your data with.
Data portability
You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us, and, where technically feasible, request that we transmit your personal data to another organization, if:
- we base the processing of your personal data on your consent, or our processing of your personal data is necessary for the execution or performance of a contract to which you are a party, and
- we process your personal data by automated means.
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Your right to receive your personal data must not adversely affect the rights and the freedoms of other persons.
Objecting to data use
You have the right to object to processing that is based on our legitimate interest. If you object to the use, we will, based on your particular situation, evaluate if our interests in using the data outweigh your interests in the data not being used for that purpose. If we are unable to provide compelling legitimate grounds that outweigh yours, we will stop using the data you object to – provided we do not have to use the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If you object to the use, you also have the right to request that we restrict our use during the time we investigate the matter.
You always have the right to object to, and thus unsubscribe from, direct marketing.
Right to withdraw consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent for a specific processing at any time. You can withdraw your consent by contacting us via the contact information below.
Your withdrawal will not affect processing that has already been carried out.
Right to request restriction
Restriction means that the data is marked so that it may only be used for certain limited purposes. The right to restriction applies:
- When you believe the data is incorrect and you have requested correction. If so, you can also request that we limit our use while we investigate if the data are correct or not.
- If the use is illegal but you do not want the data to be deleted.
- When we no longer need the data for the purposes for which we collected it, but you need it to be able to establish, assert or defend legal claims.
- If you object to the use. If so, you can request that we limit our use while we investigate if our interest in processing your data outweighs your interests.
Even if you have requested that we restrict our use of your data, we have the right to use it for storage, if we have obtained your consent to use it, to assert or defend legal claims or to protect someone’s rights. We may also use the information for reasons relating to an important public interest.
We will let you know when the restriction expires.
If we limit our use of your data, we will also inform those we have shared your data with, provided that it is not impossible or too cumbersome. If you ask us, we will also tell you who we have shared your data with.
Changes to this privacy notice
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will inform you of any changes by posting the updated notice on our website. If we make any material changes to our notice, we will send you a notification by e-mail. We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions about the notice or about how we process your personal data.
You may also submit complaints to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or where the alleged infringement of the GDPR took place. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is the Swedish Supervisory Authority for Privacy Protection.
