RGNT Motorcycles launches new Sport Extended production models
– Highly customizable models boost industry-unique One Throttle Drive system
Swedish EV-motorcycle manufacturer RGNT Motorcycles has announced the launch of its new Sport Extended (SE) model line-up. Following extensive customer testing of the previously released limited edition SEL models, the new, highly customizable Classic SE and Scrambler SE models are successfully homologated and ready to silence city streets and coastal boulevards all over the world.
As RGNT’s CEO Måns Danielsson puts it:
“Both models have matured in design, and true to our self-confident design vision, both models now have even more in-house developed components.”
Highlight of the SE Model
The new SE model have several highlights, including new ride modes and the industry-first One Pedal Drive with regenerative braking.
One Throttle Drive
One Throttle Drive adds new functionality to the gas throttle, easing rider operation: twist the throttle normally to ride. Twist it the other way (‘backwards) and it will brake and fuel up the batteries through regenerative braking.
Boost Mode
To the existing ride modes Power and Range, RGNT has added a new Boost mode. In Boost mode the bike temporarily offers a peak performance of +20 kW at the twist of the throttle.
Design your own
Both SE models are highly customizable in the easy-to-use online configurator. From fenders to seats, and from tank colors to pads, headlight grills and luggage racks, the possibilities are endless.
Enhanced ownership
The RGNT engineering team has worked hard to make RGNT ownership even more effortless, more fun and more rewarding. At the core of these efforts sits the all-new RGNT App. Through the app riders can now get real-time updates on charging status and remaining charging time, battery range and bike location. The bike itself receives regular over-air updates and the app guides riders in their journey towards ultimate bike maintenance. An important part of this is treating the battery in such a way that it extends its life cycle, besides notifying when predictive maintenance is needed.
Reimagined instrument cluster
The Human Machine Interface (instrument cluster) is completely redesigned, offering riders a more enhanced connection with the bike, besides more personalization options.
Upgraded performance
The SE bikes offer even more punch. Improvements on the drivetrain, electromotor and efficiency lead to less generated heat, meaning less wasted energy. The result? More energy available for performance. Nominal power output is upgraded from 8.5 to 9 kWh.
